Little Dragons: Ages 4 - 6
The little Dragons Program is a new and innovating class that teaches the fundamentals of martial arts to kids from the ages of 4-6. A completely different curriculum as well as belt system for our tiny tots. This class teaches kids focus, control, Balance, memory, discipline, fitness, and coordination. Our goal is to improve your childs self-esteem and discipline, which will improve the parents and childs life experience at school and home. Some of our learned words are but not limited to discipline, focus, self-control, and responsibility.
Classes are upbeat, fun, and intuitive. As always parents are encouraged to stay and watch and once in a while participate with their children in class. In addition we have Power Talks explaining self-awareness, Stranger Danger, and how to become bully proof. Fun, Fun, Fun, we disguise repetition and have a planned curriculum; similar to what teachers have at school in a safe supervised and fun environment. Remember our number one priority is your child. If you believe discipline, self-defense, and exercise will benefit your child then come on in and turn your child into a Little Dragon!!
In addition to an elite Martial Arts education and experience we also provide an environment for family and for your child to develop their social skills. Some of these events include family picnics, bowling events, parents night out, parties and much more. Ask about having your Childs birthday party at their Karate School.
Kids Program: Ages 6 and up
We pride ourselves in our expertise which is teaching Karate to kids. Were dedicated to developing your child in a positive manner. Whether youre looking for fitness, increased levels of concentration, focus, coordination, exercise, discipline, or whether your child wants to learn weapons since that last martial arts movie played, youve come to the right place. These are some of our key points of education, firstly DISCIPLINE which is a commonly used word in our class, theyll learn self control how to address adults, better communicate, which we guarantee will reflect at home and in school. We teach discipline as well as reinforce whats taught at home.
SELF-DEFENSE we teach children how to avoid being picked on, verbally deescalate any situation, and lastly we teach them the science of self-defense.

Social Activities:
We provide a safe controlled and supervised family environment for all our kids. In addition we are a Family operated school who believe in traditional values. Girls Do Karate!?
They certainly do, some of Our World Champions are girls. We Mean world champions not state champions. Thirty percent of our school population are girls. I hope you believe girls can do Karate, because OUR cutie pies break wood as well as hearts. Since most abducted girls are from the ages of 9-12 we have STRANGER DANGER SEMINARS and SELF-AWARENESS SEMINARS for the whole family. Come on in and join our GIRL POWER CLUB.
Family Martial Arts Academy is a family owned and operated Martial Arts School that was founded in 1996 based on Traditional Family Values and committed to developing and teaching children and adults in the arts of Sansei (3rd Generation) Goju-Ryu Karate, which was founded by Hanshi Manny Saavedra in the United States in 1980.

Our Instructors have a combined 65 years of experience in the Martial Arts, Weapons, Self Defense and are current members of the American Inter-collegiate Karate Association. We train and prepare students for national and local competitions, training daily current and past World & U.S. Champions along with various students that are ranked nationally by NASKA. All this is done with one key factor in mind, Sportsmanship and Dedication.
