FunCamps

Magic has been a source of amazement and wonder for centuries. "How do they do it?" has come from the mouths of children since the first magician uttered the words Hocus-Pocus and mystified his audience. MagiCamp now offers the secrets of magic and illusion to children. Our program has been designed NOT ONLY to be an educational, healthy, and entertaining adventure through the mysterious world of magic, but also one that builds the character, confidence, and self-esteem of our campers.

MagiCamp is an experience dedicated to bringing something that is rarely available today, the secrets backstage. Since 1989 MagiCamp has taught over 8000 MagiCampers the many variations of magic, juggling, and drama. Under the direction of experienced counselors and teachers, the campers will be taught the basics of stage presence, clowning, drama, improv, animal balloons, and of course grand illusion.

MagiCamp has become one of the premier specialty programs in the US with over 1200 children attending the MagiCamp programs each summer. The MagiCamp program has also been approved by the American Camping Association for its high quality standards and excellence in teaching and for providing a safe and exciting journey through the world of magic.

Jurassicamp was created to bring our campers ages 5-10 into the wondrous world of Dinosaurs & Fossils (Paleontology). While the Jurassicampers are learning about the many species of dinosaurs and prehistoric life, they will actually receive real fossils to keep from the periods such as dinosaur bone fragments, Trilobites, and Ammonites. These fossils will actually be found by digging in our specially designed dig boxes.

The Jurassicampers will also learn from our knowledgeable staff about these prehistoric creatures by building special dinosaur models and will even make an erupting volcano.

To round out their Jurassic days the campers will participate in field activities, dino games, field trips, swimming, and dino-art. The Jurassicamper's will even get to hold and examine a real dinosaur egg, Mesasourus skeleton and dinosaur teeth.

Space and Rocket Camp is our newest summer adventure. The campers will explore the wonders of the universe through our carefully designed program. With 15 years of day camp experience and over 5,000 campers, we have created an exciting camp to take us into the future.

The Space and Rocket Campers will learn about the galaxy and solar system with our portable planetarium. The campers will also learn about rocketry, gravity, aerodynamics and astronaut training. The campers will even build their own rockets and at the end of the session the staff will blast them off for them. Also, they will also receive real meteorite fragments, a working telescope, and build scaled models of the solar system. Of course, as with all our programs, the campers will have space sports, guest speakers, interactive games and swimming.

This is a perfect program for our future astronauts, scientists, and/or astronomers!

Our Amazing Science Camp is an exciting journey into the world of science. Through hands on experiments and projects, our campers will learn about the many facets of science. Projects will range from making electromagnets and solar powered devices, to optical and chemical, like making prisms or slime and their own glow sticks. They will even learn about the wonders of our environment and how to harness the power of gas and water.

In addition to all of the fun projects we have planned, our Amazing Science Campers will receive a well rounded curriculum of field activities swimming, field trips, guest entertainers and more. This program has been designed for campers between the ages of 6-12, and is a sure bet for the budding scientist or for the curious at heart.
