The foundation of Sagemont's academic program is a rigorous college-prep curriculum that includes a variety of Honors and AP courses. Sagemont is second to none when it comes to integrating state-of-the-art technology via laptop proficiency, Internet use and even additional coursework at our "virtual school" education partner, University of Miami Online High School. Sagemont also meets the needs of students with specific learning disabilities through its Mountain Peak Academy, a program that mainstreams with the school's regular program.

Toward that end, Sagemont offers a wide array of extracurricular activities for students of all ages and interests. Academic clubs, service organizations, and athletics are just a few of the categories represented at the school. It is telling to note that fully 100% of Sagemont's students participate in community service projects each school year.

Camp
When school is out, Camp Sagemont takes over for those in Pre-K through 5th grade. Camp programs are available for most holidays and during winter and spring breaks. Campers have the chance to participate in a wide variety of fun activities. Campers swim, play sports and games, and learn about science, art, and music, as well as many other special activities like treasure hunts, trivia contests, car washes and special theme days. We take field trips with the first through fifth grade students and bring in special guests like magicians and storytellers. We often have bounce houses, snow cones, spin art and more.
Summer Camp & Summer School
Camp Sagemont is a full day summer camp program right here in the heart of Weston that provides a well rounded day of fun and exciting activities for campers entering PK-3 through eighth grade. Please note that all 3 year olds entering camp must be potty trained, no exceptions. Campers enjoy their days by attending specialist led activities such as arts and crafts, cheerleading, computers, cooking, dance, drama, gymnastics, karate, music, science, sports, swimming in our on-site pool and more! Camp Sagemont has weekly themes which are reflected with special events that are brought onto campus. Local field trips are also offered for campers in first through third grade. Our camp has lots of spirit which really shows during our COLOR WAR!
Our Travel Camp offers older campers the opportunity to see many of the fun, exciting, recreational and educational attractions that South Florida has to offer. Our Junior Travelers (4th-5th grade) travel twice a week and our Senior Travelers (6th - 8th grade) travel three times per week. Other days are spent enjoying our in-house camp activities.
Sports Camp is back and better than ever! The program is offered for those campers entering third to eighth grade who are more active and prefer not to do the artistic/culture components of our regular day camp. Campers will learn skills and play sports such as baseball/softball, basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball and more! Trips are offered twice per week to sports or recreational venues.
Our Elementary Summer School program is offered to students entering first to fifth grade. The half day program offers the opportunity for students to review or fill in educational gaps while enjoying a relaxed academic environment. Reading, writing and math skills are emphasized. A recreational afternoon can be combined with Summer School for a full day.
Sagemont Lower School - PreK through 5th Grade
The Sagemont Lower School instills in each student a joy of learning, personal growth, and a sense of personal and community responsibility. Our administration, faculty, & studentswork together as a community of learners to develop and maintain these goals. Beginning with our Early Childhood Program, the faculty inspires and challenges children to reach their highest potential. In addition, parents are considered part of our community of learners and are an integral part of the daily activities of the school.
Sagemont Upper School - Grades 6 - 12
The Sagemont Upper School campus includes a media center, computer labs, science labs, a band room and an art room. Our college-prep curriculum focuses on preparing children for college and living in a global economy. Honors and advanced placement courses are offered. The school has a wireless network and multi-media capabilities and all students have laptop computers.
A school-to-work program for 11th and 12th grade students provides meaningful experiences for students to prepare for life in the 21st century. An abundance of extracurricular activities such as interscholastic and intramural sports, band, drama, & service and interest clubs are
offered to middle and high school students.
Aftercare
Our Aftercare program runs from 3:00 to 6:00pm on school days for students in Pre-K through 5th grade. During this time, our staff mirrors the types of activities that students might be involved with if they were not staying after school. Students are separated into age appropriate groups. An afterschool snack is provided. Our younger students play inside and out, work on simple art projects and play some counselor lead games. Our older students work on homework and also have a chance to relax and play games both inside and out. We strive to provide a relaxed and nurturing environment for those that stay after school hours.
