Swim Gym

Babies at SwimGym are given the most delicate attention and care.
SwimGym baby swimmers are divided into two levels:

Infant level:  Ages 3- to 18-months and up to 2 years of age: Often these babies have little aquatic education in the home. Classes are taught with the parent, games, songs, and toys to set a safe and reassuring environment. Ideal for growth, water adjustment activities and safety skills for babies are taught. One parent or caretaker accompanies the baby in the pool. Patience and fun are the main ingredients that make this experience a positive one. No competition! Only enhancement of self-esteem and independence at the infant level. Yes, your babies will "go under," but always with help.

Toddler Level: Ages 18 to 24 months (already in our program) and up to three years: With a little more aquatic education, these babies still cannot swim on their own and/or are not ready to separate from the parent. They may swim well, but are not ready to follow instructions or take turns with other children and a teacher. This class also is based on games, songs, and toys with activities appropriate to their developmental level. No competition and no expectations make each and everyone of them "THE BEST". This helps them want to stay in the water on their own with other children and a teacher. If group lessons are not what you had in mind or scheduled class times are inconvenient, we offer Private Lessons at your convenience.

Swim Gym Mini Swim Camp (SGMSC) specifically designed for potty-trained three to six years-old. This program offers physical and social skills development through a learn-to swim-program, games-songs, arts & crafts, sand pit, and boat rides. Inherent in every activity is enhanced self-esteem, self-motivation, and self-reliance.

SGMSC will improve your child's physical fitness and social skills through a positive camp experience. Our lead teachers, as well as our camp skippers, strive to work with campers for improving self-esteem, motivation, and independence through positive feedback, even when correcting to improve skills.
