Our expectations of Nanny candidates are high....as they should be! Besides the CPR certification and First aid training, we also offer the nannies additional training in childcare. We personally meet and interview each and every Nanny we refer. In addition, the candidates are put through an extensive screening process that includes a national background check.
The nannies also must have the following:

- A minimum of 3 verifiable child care related references
- Current American Red Cross CPR certification and first aid training
- Clean DMV driving Record
- Legal to work with in the U.S
- At least 18 years old
We will provide you with all the candidates' information including their professional references, to help you in your selection. You are also able and encouraged to contact their references. There is no application fee. You can interview nannies without any monetary fee. Our referral fee would only be due if you select a nanny we have referred to you.
Nannies are not just baby-sitters, they are friends, role models, companions and teachers. Nannies create happy memories one giggle at a time. At Nanny Poppinz, Inc. we celebrate all the joys of childhood. Nanny Poppinz, Inc. is a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB), International Nanny Association (INA) and a Provider for the American Red Cross.
Services include:
After-School Care Nannies make the children snacks, help them with their homework, and stay with them until the parents come home. These Nannies can also pick the children up at school or after-care programs and may shuttle them to after-school activities.
Bodyguards/Security will maintain security of the household or will accompany client wherever and whenever needed. They can be armed with lethal or non-lethal forms of protection.
Butlers are senior managers of a formal or multi-staffed household, usually in charge of only one residence. A Butler typically has professional training and formal experience in the field. A Butler is typically a live-in employee. A Butler's responsibilities generally cover a variety of tasks essential to the running of a complex or multi-staffed household. Typical duties may include the receiving of guests, running household and/or personal errands for the household or employer, managing service vendors, making travel arrangements for the employer and/or other household guests, helping to maintain household security, assisting with the cooking and serving of meals and drinks, setting the table for meals, creating household budgets, maintaining the wine cellars and knowledge about fine wines, experience with general valet duties, management of the provisions in secondary residences, hiring and overseeing other household staff, scheduling the maintenance for miscellaneous items in the estate (stables, boats, planes, etc.), some light housekeeping duties.
Convention Childcare is available to groups holding their conventions in the South Florida area. The number of Nannies is dependent upon the number of children: generally its a 1 to 4 ratio. We have several different curriculums planned for various age groups of children, which are customized for each group.
Cooks make meals for the entire family, based on the requests and special dietary needs of the individual family members.
Day at the Park Nannies take children to the local amusement park, attractions, zoo, museums, etc. while their parents are otherwise engaged. Packages available that will vary from region to region.
Date Night Babysitters can be utilized for a Friday night date, a Girls Night Out, a dinner, or a movie with a friend.
Doulas help new mothers with basic infant care and may also do light housekeeping, run errands and baby-sit older children. Doula means "woman who serves women" in Greek. Doulas are professional postpartum care providers who work two to four hours a day beginning immediately after a childs birth for two to three weeks.
Drivers will chauffer clients to wherever theyd like to be driven, locally or cross country.
Emergency Childcare can be utilized for last minute business meetings or when the Nanny calls in sick.
Foreign Language Nannies speak various languages which work well when clients want to have their children learn a second language, or for foreign visitors traveling with children that speak little or no English. We have Nannies that speak many different languages, from all over the world.
Hotel/Resort Babysitters are available to guests to cover childcare in the hotel rooms while the parents are conducting business or going out for dinner and a movie.
Household Managers delegate various responsibilities in a household. They manage household workers such as gardeners, pool companies that come out to service the clients pool, cooks, housekeepers, drivers, or butlers. Often the household manager will help in most any household task there is to be undertaken.
Housekeepers clean entire homes, do grocery shopping, prepare meals, do laundry, and keep the home in order. They may do some occasional baby-sitting. Some individuals who are exclusively housekeepers will answer your ad for Nannies because it is under the heading domestic services. Clients sometimes request a housekeeper in addition to a Nanny; therefore, it is good to have some housekeepers on staff.
Live-In Nannies can be full-time or part-time. Live-in Nannies need a work schedule so they can have their own personal time. They prefer their own accommodations and a private bathroom. A live-in generally works approximately 50 hours a week and lives with the client 5 days a week. The other two days he/she can live with the client or stay elsewhere.
Live-Out Nannies can be full-time or part-time. Though a Nanny can be considered full-time working only 26 hours a week, full time live-out Nannies generally work a standard 40-hour week. Anything over 40 hours within a seven day period should be paid overtime.
Mothers Helpers tend to be younger (18-21) than Nannies and lack the more specialized training of a Nanny; therefore, they require less pay. They can be in full charge of a household, but they are not to be left in charge for extended periods of time.
Nanny Sharing: There are several ways to share a nanny. Perhaps you would like the mornings free? Share with a family wanting childcare in the afternoon, leaving the nanny an hour or so in the middle of the day to travel between homes. If you just want a day, or two, or three, you can share with a family which wants help on the days that you don't.
Newborn Specialists help new mothers with basic newborn care and may also do light housekeeping, run errands and baby-sit older children. Newborn Specialists are professional postpartum care providers. Newborn Specialists may work up to 24 hours a day beginning immediately after the birth of the child. Sometimes, Newborn Specialists remain with the same client for years as the client keeps having babies and/or the client becomes attached to her.
Night Newborn Specialists help new mothers with basic newborn care at night to let Mom and Dad rest after the arrival of a newborn.
Newborn Specialists are professional postpartum care providers. Night Newborn Specialists may work up to 12 hours a day and can begin immediately after the birth of the child, and they usually work until the child sleeps through the night.
Personal Assistants help with tasks assigned by a client, which may include answering telephones, making appointments, shuttling children to activities or playgroups, or picking up dry cleaning.
School Holiday Care is for the days children have off during the school year that parents dont. Examples are spring break, teacher planning days, religious holidays, and government holidays.
Sick Childcare is used when children become ill and cant be sent to either school or daycare. Many parents still have to work and our Nannies allow them to do so.
Summer Nannies are usually college students and/or teachers who have summers free. We find these Nannies to be a great fit with school-aged children.
Temporary Housekeepers can be used when a family wants some spring-cleaning done, or they have company coming over and want to make a great impression.
Temporary Nannies:
You have a Nanny, but she is going away for a short period of time.
You are a working mother, working from home either full time or part time, and have no childcare, but require some short term coverage.
You require a Nanny to assist during school holidays.
You are attending a wedding and it would be easier to leave your child with a Nanny.
You are throwing a party at home and would like a Nanny to look after your children and your guests children.
Traveling Nannies travel with families on vacations or business trips, basically wherever the family goes; the Nanny accompanies them, to care for the children. The family covers all of the Nannys expenses. This may be domestic or international travel.
Tutors/Home-Schooling Nannies often have degrees in education and they teach children in their homes.
Twenty-Four Hour Care is for traveling parents. When children still need to attend school, we can send Nannies to their homes to care for the children.
