However, there is another important reason for teaching a child instructional swimming, particularly here in South Florida, and that is Safety! Our instructors will teach your children the basic survival skills necessary to react appropriately around water. So that your child can once again feel safe and secure in this environment, and you can feel confident about their abilities. Swim Kids is a member of the WABC (World Aquatic Baby Conference) and NSSA (National Swim School Association). Swim Kids is provider of the Red Cross. Swim kids offer parents a wide variety of choices according to the age and swimming ability of the child. We provide private , semi -private and group lessons. Each private lesson under 2 years old last 20 minutes, 2 years up trough adults last 30 minutes. | | Water: a child's first natural habitat Infants form and develop swathed in a warm pool of water, an environment where for months, they feel safe and snug. Water is a child's first natural habitat, one that they remember fondly and enjoy returning to. Classes are 10 minutes long. | | | Ideal for babies, My Parents and Me is an opportunity for parents to spend quality time with their children as they reacquaint themselves with the water. Parents immerse themselves and their babies in a lesson through a series of games and songs. As the child gains confidence in the pool, the instructor will introduce basic swimming and water survival skills. Classes are 30 minutes long. | | | Toddlers have an inherent desire to emulate and please those around them. They also have an immense capacity to learn new skills. They will be introduce to the basics of swimming, the first and most important of which is breathing. Later, they will learn to do fun free-style strokes such as Arrows, Circles, Airplanes, Dolphin and Froggy kicks. | | | Children of this age group, for the most part, are independent and welcome new challenges. Once the fundamentals are mastered (guppies ), the emphasis will be placed on timing and mini-swimming stroke.. | | | At this level advanced strokes are introduced, developed and refined, preparing the child for competition and a life of physical endurance and fitness.
